Kiltaraglen House lies half a mile north of Portree, Skye's main centre, on the A855. Set in spacious gardens surrounded by trees it is an excellent base from which to explore the wonderful diversity of activities and scenery for which the Isle of Skye is renowned.

In 1985 Pamela and Kevin Simmister took over the property for their own home and have renovated the surplus accommodation into modern, comfortable, secluded self-catering accommodation and two bed and breakfast rooms.

The main part of the house was built by Dr. Matheson, the surgeon for Portree from around 1855. During the 1930's a detached cottage and annexe were added and Kiltaraglen began providing self catering accommodation in addition to the already well established board and lodging.

THE COTTAGE
A bungalow set in the grounds of Kiltaraglen House. It sleeps up to four people in one double and one twin bedded room.

THE ANNEXE
Sleeps two in one large double bedroom which has a comfortable seating area, making the most of the windows on three sides of the room.
BED AND BREAKFAST
Accommodation is in two double bedded rooms, both with excellent facilities.
